Has anyone heard of these two books? I have read, "A Mother's Rule of Life" and thought it was so inspiring for bringing God into my daily humdrum schedule. I haven't finished reading "Graced and Gifted" yet but so far it seems pretty similar to "A Mother's Rule of Life". Both books really emphasise the five P's. Prayer, Person, Partner, Parent, and Provider as the order in which to go about one's day. Prayer seems to be the last thing I get done right now when it should be be my first. That is embarrassing to admit. I am working on it though ;) I know if I were to put this as my first priority then my day would probably spent with the right perspective in mind, loving God instead of stressing out about things. I just skip the parent part of these books since IF is my situation. But the information is useful for the future. These books really are beautiful spiritual reading and so inspiring for today's wives/ future mothers. I should keep what I rad in mind especially after a frazzled weekend.
Well, it has been such busy weekend!
I am on CD 15 now and am having some O cramping (at least I think I am). I thought peak day was yesterday though but I'll have to wait and see. I have to confess. The list of stuff I am suppose to be taking isn't going that well. I started gagging and feeling nauseous taking all the pills so now I am down to just the basics. I really hope this pays off. Oh, by the way, I was on a C.athoilc F.ertility group the other day and one of the girls was just diagnosed with PCOS after three years of TTC and taking clomid. PPVI wasn't even aware she had this until she asked for an ultrasound to see if she was ovulating. Come to find out she wasn't. This really scares me. I missed my ultrasound series as well out at PPVI when I had my lap. Is this something that every IF woman should have done. Maybe I am wrong with thinking I O every month. Or maybe I am just paranoid that there is something else that is preventing me from conceiving that I am not aware of yet. Sigh!
Well, time for some sleep. I am forcing myself to go to bed early...
I can't find my camera so pictures are going to have to wait to be posted. Please St. Anthony help me find my camera :)
If you could find another GOOD u/s tech in your area, you should be able to get your u/s series done locally without traveling out to Omaha. I am super-lucky, since my NaPro Dr does u/s and has the machine in her office, but from what I hear, many do not(?) Anyway, a NaPro u/s Dr would be awesome, but any well-trained u/s tech will do.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a really important step in diagnosing in NaPro. It was one of the very 1st things I had done, and I've done a number of them since. There are SEVEN, yes SEVEN different ovulatory defects a woman can have- - and b/w alone on 7dpo is not enough to determine if you are truly ovulating each month.
(Not to freak you out. I think you can rest assured that you at least ovulate periodically, especially recently.)
As for jobs that won't remind you of what you don't have... stripper. I'm pretty sure people don't bring their babies into strip clubs. And last time I checked, pg women don't frequent strip clubs, either. :)
To put it in perspective, when it wasn't going to work out for me to have my u/s series done in Omaha, PPVI told me there was only one other doctor's office I could go to for it and that was TCIE's doctor! So she must be the best :) (and I did have it done there and it was a great experience). At the time, it showed I wasn't ovulating, or at least I didn't that cycle. I'd love to have one now, just to see, but now that I know about PPVI's high standards, I'm not sure if it'd be a waste of time to have it done at an average doctor's office, know what I mean?
ReplyDeleteSince you have conceived once, you most likely are ovulating.. right? I bet you are fine in that department. It's just so frustrating, though, to not know exactly what went wrong each cycle and to wonder what it could be. I wish we could just know and fix it!

ReplyDeleteI had my u/s series in Omaha…even after my two previous doctors here in Amarillo did them. PPVI was WAY more comprehensive….they took measurements on all sorts of things. I hate the pills too. I have to space them out and make sure I eat with the ones I can eat with, otherwise I get sick too. Crackers help a lot! However, I’ll admit I get to the end of the day and sometimes its too much. DH and I took a break from TTC this past month so I stopped taking CM/B6 and PreV… he needs to have an SFA done before I continue with everything. I am hoping things go well on Thursday. We are using the kit from PPVI and he is a little bit nervous.

ReplyDeleteThank you girls for alll your advice!!! I really appreaciate it :) I am going to see if Dr. H.ilgers will give me an order for an ultrasound to see if I am ovulating. Also, TCIE, stripper isn't a bad idea...HAHA. You crack me up ;)
