The nurse called just a minute ago to tell me my first set of HCG results. They are 6003 which puts me right at 6-7 weeks pregnant she said. I told her that I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and she said I am right on track. WHOO-HOO!!!!!! I never made it this far in my previous pregnancy so I am just shocked that my body is working correctly. Thank you God!!! Oh my goodness...I am just so freaking excited! Keep growing my little baby! I think I'll just keep my ultrasound appointment now for 8.6 weeks. I am sure it will be here soon enough and things seem to be going along well...Thank you girls for all your prayers!
By the way, I weighed myself yesterday becuase I went to try on one of my favorite pairs of jeans and they don't fit...my butt has gotten huge so then I ran to the scale and I have gained 4 pounds. What is up with that? I really don't mind...it's all worth it but seriously 4 pounds already straight to my butt! haha, I am going to get huge if I don't watch it!
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE NUMBERS ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGROW BUTT GROW!!!! WE GOTTA BABY TO NURTURE!
Sew, you crack me up as usual!!!haha :)
ReplyDeleteGreat numbers! That is just so exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that everything is right on track :).
Hi Amber :)
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you and praying for you in my rosary! I'm so happy for you and hubby, that everything is going well, and you and baby are getting great results!
You are so blessed to be a Mom to be! You received the BEST gift of all - a baby growing in your womb! You are a lovely lady and as your pregnancy progresses, you will look even more lovely. Try not to worry about the extra pounds. Just think - your baby is happy and healthy growing inside of you and receiving the nourishment he/she needs. I think gaining a few pounds in your case is good news - it's another sign everything is going well!
Just think in seven and a half months you will be holding a beautiful new baby in your arms! Oh Amber, you are so blessed!
I will continue to keep you, baby, and hubby in my prayers!
Much love and hugs to you, dear lady!
Love,
Maria :)
FANTASTIC NUMBERS!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat numbers! So exciting, and not too long until you get to see the baby via u/s.
ReplyDeletethanks for the prayers and yeah for great numbers! I remember I gained 20 lbs by 20 weeks and the doc said it would be a pound a week for the 2nd half of the preg. I was like, I thought I would gain 20 lbs total! lol. no such luck, almost 50 lbs! but totally worth it! the weight came off easily but the skin will never be the same-lol. drink lots of water and grow baby grow!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, CITIZENS OF HEAVEN!!!!
ReplyDeleteEat right, take care of yourself, exercise, and your weight gain will be right where it should be. Relax, Mama. You're makin' a human!
The first trimester, even with complete absence of nausea, fatigue, whatever whatever, was the most difficult for me. (Well, so far. Still have one to go.)
Emotional stress is harder on me than anything, and if you're a mom who can relax in the first trimester, my hat's off to you.
The good news? It will FLY BY, and one day you wake up and you're not (as) scared. You're actually functional again! Yessssssss!
Sounds like things are progressing well Amber! I'm so happy for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so so thrilled! This is such wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteGaining weight for a baby gives you an excuse to go shopping for new clothes- YAY!
Awesome news!!!
ReplyDeleteHehehe, you got junk in your trunk... and in your ute :P
Maybe you shed those 4 lbs by going to play tennis with Msgr. "Tony." Don't forget your Russian racquet!!
TCIE, you're hilarious...that was such an embarrassing moment when he couldn't hear me, hahaha! I was thinking maybe I should start walking, who knows though. I have been eating like a horse. Praying for you ;)

This is wonderful! If you don't have it already, check out "Prayerfully Expecting" it's a nine-month novena book. I have it in my "someday" bin.
ReplyDeleteOh, I second Prayerfully Expecting. And get the Mother's Manual prayerbook.
ReplyDeleteIt has got beautiful prayers for every situation a mother could dream of, starting with pre-conception.
It's the first result on Amazon under Mother's Manual, and it's only $6.
Thank you for the suggestions Girls! Sounds lovely. I'll definitley look them up :)
ReplyDeleteGreat news! Praise God!!! Sounds like 2010 is going to be an exciting year for you and your dh!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome news! Praise God! I have gained almost 10 lbs already at 16 weeks but I was at least 10 lbs overweight to begin with! The only way I could feel ok was if I had food in my stomach, but it is what your body needs! Get some stretchy pants and don't worry. :)
ReplyDeletewonderful news!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so GREAT! That is one thing that killed me. I was pregnant a whole week or two and gained 8 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It freaked me out. Worth it, but still freaky, so I understand how shoveling food in your mouth that you are not used to is a little scary! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the numbers. :)
ReplyDeleteWow - so exciting!! Praying that your pregnancy continues to be healthy!
