Yesterday I went to the lab to get my second set of HCG blood draw and to my disbelief they were CLOSED! Yes, that is right. I was in shock. Just a couple days before I had called specifically to ask what time they would be opened and they said 5:30PM and I was so happy because that meant I could go after work. Someone must have told me the wrong time though because they close at 5:00PM. I was so irritated to say the least because I really wanted to know what my numbers would have been at 48 hours apart. Now they are about 65 hours apart. I am not sure what difference that makes with the results, but oh well, nothing I can do about it now.
Other than this I kept waking up last night with weird poking feelings down low and period type feeling in my abdomen. Is that normal? I am not sure. I went to bed at 7:30 and tried to stop drinking liquids early in the evening so I wouldn't wake up so much and it kind of helped. I do feel so much better today though having caught up on some sleep. I called and moved my ultra-sound appointment to 8.1 weeks instead of 8.6. For some reason this sounded like a big difference to me but now while I type it it doesn't.
In other news we have been watching my sisters dog, Willoughby, for the last couple days. I just love dogs so it is nice to have another one in the house. I'll have to post pictures later :( I feel like my house is a dog pound right now, haha, because we have three dogs running around our small house. I guess I better get back to work. Have a wonderful New Years Eve!
That stinks about the lab being closed. Use one of these beta calculators to help you. (I prefer the first link).

That is so annoying! Once you get your results go http://www.babymed.com/Tools/Pregnancy/hCG/Default.aspx
ReplyDeleteand you can see a little graph! I have one on my blog.
I have been having those weird pulling/cramping sensations all along. Don't worry. :)
YES the pulling sensations are familiar and that is a very good way of describing it! (I described it as "shallow light cramps.")
ReplyDeleteThat sucks that the lab was closed! Argh!!!!
ReplyDeleteDog sitting sounds like fun!
Happy New Year Amber!!! I hope that 2010 brings you much happiness!
Sorry about the lab being closed. I'm glad Ann and FJIEJ gave you some links that can help you with figuring out the rise.
ReplyDeletepulling, poking, all things strange down there are absolutely normal. :) that is a bummer about the lab draw!
ReplyDeletei think they called it round ligament pain?
ReplyDeleteFor me, round ligament pain is MUCH worse, and it doesn't kick in as early as those cramps do, at least not for me. RLP cripples me when I get up too quickly from a sitting position.
ReplyDeleteI feel like my uterus is falling out while a horse is kicking me.
Haha, from "a slight pulling" to horse kicks.
Whoopie!
:)
What a pain! Did you get them back yet?
ReplyDeleteNo results yet... I have to wait until Monday :(
ReplyDeleteThinking about you guys. Hope you are having a wonderful New Years Day!
